Mike in California told us about this Prairie Bread from Whole Foods. Apparently, it's the best GF bread he has ever eaten. He put turkey, alpine swiss, and tomato between two toasted pieces. Mayo, pepper, and parmesan cheese cover the insides of the toasted bread.
Thanks, Mike!

Hrm, very interesting question.
ReplyDeleteI will put my husband on duty to pull together his stuffing recipe, he has a GREAT one with sausage and GF cornbread.......good question.
Faye-
ReplyDeleteI used this bread for my stuffing last year and it was fantastic.
Hum....stuffing...that's a good idea. I am feeling a little overwhelmed about Thanksgiving this year with ALL of our family coming.
ReplyDeleteI (heart) Whole Food's products - their 365 keep me cooking without breaking the bank. Haven't tried this one...will have to add it to the list for next time!
Tell Mike in California to add sliced red onions and avocados to the sandwich. Yummy.
ReplyDeleteHa! It's so true!! Even my non-GF friends like it - when I allow them a bite. Otherwise, it's mine, all mine!
ReplyDeleteI don't have a WF near me, but if I am ever out of town and see one, I stop and stock up.
Their biscuits are to DIE for. If I was ever going to say, "OMG," that'd be it. OMG their biscuits melt in your mouth, give them a try if you haven't.
I went to an out-of-town Whole Foods for the first time yesterday, happened to see this in the freezer, and remembered seeing it here. Even after being frozen- the best GF bread I've had. Not that I've tried a whole ton of different kinds, but this actually tasted like bread. Thanks for the idea! Now if only there was a Whole Foods somewhere around here...
ReplyDeleteI agree. I buy this bread all the time and it is the best tasting GF bread out there.
